One-Day Workshop

Discover methods for painting impactful reflections in water in this one-day workshop with award-winning painter Liz Prescott. With a focus on painting what you see rather than what you think you see, Liz will guide you in creating gorgeous water and sky scenes. This workshop will provide you with tools to get more drama in your paintings by exploring the incredible show that nature reveals in reflections. Paint in acrylics or oils. Liz will demo in acrylics.

Join award-winning artist and popular instructor, Eric Jacobsen for a 1 and/or 2-day workshop, covering beginning and intermediate painting skills. Day One, Saturday, August 15th, will focus on Composition. Day Two, Sunday, August 16th, will focus on seeing and mixing Color. For students of all levels, beginner through advanced. Paint in oil or acrylics.
Landscape as Laboratory
Tuesday to Saturday (August 18 -22) 10:00AM-5:00PM
Explore the Maine landscape in this week-long workshop through a combination of plein air painting and collage. Looking closely at the work of the Impressionists, primarily Cézanne and Matisse, alongside Lois Dodd and Fairfield Porter, two painters whose work was deeply informed by the landscape of Maine, we will examine how artists have approached direct observation and consider what their discoveries can offer our own practices.
